Outline of Subject
This qualification is for learners interested in taking a hands-on course alongside their GCSEs that will offer them a practical introduction to life and work in the dynamic hospitality industry, allowing them to make an informed decision about their future learning and career. The WJEC Vocational Award in Hospitality and Catering equips you with theoretical knowledge about the industry as well as enabling you to develop practical skills in planning, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.

How will I learn?
You will develop some food preparation and cooking skills as well as transferable skills of problem solving, organisation and time management, planning and communication.
Where will it take me?
Through achieving the vocational award in hospitality and catering, you will have a multitude of career pathways, such as: Hotelier; Chef; Tourist Management; Restaurant Manager.
