Outline of Subject
The BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care offers you an insight into what it is like to work in one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK. You will gain understanding of the fundamental aspects of Health and Social Care including growth and development, health and social care services and values, and health and well-being. You will get a broad introduction to a sector that transects a wide range of careers from social care and social work to many different branches of healthcare.

How will I learn?
The Tech Award combines theory with plenty of practical application. Students will acquire actual knowledge of the sector and how care services meet the needs of users.
Where will it take me?
This subject can lead to further study at Level 3 of academic and/or vocational qualifications in social care, social work, health care and to apprenticeships.
