GCSE Success

We are delighted with this year’s GCSE results and are proud of our students’ achievements.

English 9-4 results have risen by 17% on last year, maths 9-4 have risen 15% and over the past 2 years, maths 9-5 results have increased by 30%.

The top grades achieved (9-7), by only 3% of the country have also increased from just 1% 2 years ago, to 18% this year!

I am delighted with the on-going transformation of Park Lane Academy and the support we have received from our partnership with South Pennine Academies.

Our incoming Principal, Mr Atkinson, has already undertaken a considerable amount of work to ensure this rapid improvement continues.
